Independent Member - Audit Lead

Steve Spill was appointed an Independent Member of the WHSSC Joint Committee on 30th November  2022. 

Steve is an Oxford History graduate and qualified accountant by background with a wide-ranging executive finance and general management career in professional services, living in 4 countries and covering more than 20, latterly as COO of KPMG's operations in Central & Eastern Europe. 

On returning full time to the UK, he has built a varied portfolio of non-executive roles, all with organisations with social purpose. Currently, within NHS Wales, in addition to his role with WHSSC, he is Vice Chair of Swansea Bay University Health Board. He also sits on the boards of two social housing groups (Karbon Homes in the northeast of England and Coastal Housing in Swansea) as well as the British Small Animal Veterinary Association.
