WHSSC Policies

High quality organisational documentation is an essential tool of governance, which helps WHSSC achieve its strategic objectives, as well as facilitating the delivery of a consistently high standard of care to service users.

Commissioning policies define the specialised services commissioned by WHSSC on behalf of the seven Welsh health boards and the criteria that must be met for Welsh patients to access the treatment.

Service specifications are important in clearly defining what WHSSC expects to be in place for providers to offer evidence-based, safe and effective services and importantly, sets equitable access to services for Welsh patients.

Corporate policies set the expectations of WHSSC for behaviour for both staff and the organisation and assists WHSSC in maintaining legal compliance.
